One Day Adventure Trail Rides

We specialize in full day adventure trail rides for the best experience. We have found that it takes at least a full day for horse and rider to bond. All our rides are guided and you will find that our experienced guides will go out of their way to ensure that you have a pleasant experience. We generally do not use the same trail or route two days in a row.

Lunch, bottled water, and snacks are provided and included in the price. Expect to get off your horse and walk a short distance at least once prior to lunch, and once after the lunch stop. Along our ride routes you will see a variety of plants and trees including several varieties of oak, pine,  cottonwood, walnut, sycamore, willow, seasonal flowers, and grasses. Wildlife observed includes whitetail deer,  bobcat, coyote, fox, red tail hawk, and wild turky. Our rides range from a varying degree of difficulty. Trail routes in the park system will be on established trails or forest roads, while our other routes permit cross country riding.

Horsemenship 101

This is my idea of a riding lesson. first we sit down and talk about stuf like parts of the horse, parts of the saddle, saddle pads, head gear of the horse and what thats all called. After we get the in's and out's of all that coverd along with a few do's and dont's we will put you on a horse in the round pen for some informal basic riding technecs "veary closley supervised " . After we are all comfortable with that we will turn you lose in the arena for as long as it takes for you to find your comfort zone . When all this is accomplished I'll take you for a little ride and let you get the feel of the horse out on your own. Notice  no time limets we can work on any part you fell the need to I do require that we get through this in a day though.  This training is a great way to get warmed up for the big weekend ride with all your friends or that  trip out west for the dude ranch or just a great way to spend the day with a horse and learn a little too.

After you have some basic riding skills and have some confidence, we will turn you loose in the arena for as long as it takes you to find your comfort zone.

Multiple-Day Campouts

We will set up a base camp and provide tents, air mattresses, sleeping bags, fans when needed and all meals. Each day we will ride a different trail. You will be taught basic horse care techniques and may be asked to assist as needed. You may choose to learn to saddle your own horse if you wish.
