Happy Trails
Berry Bend Equestrian Park is located a few miles west of Warsaw, Mo. at Truman Lake. It offers 50 miles of developed trails surrounding the lake. About 37 miles of trails lead from the campground. The trail is divided into two loops: the West Trail and the East Trail. The West Trail has many steep ridges and valleys, and is a challenge to both horse and rider. The East Trail is more level and overlooks the lake in several areas.
We really like this place. Some of the trails are a little rocky, but it is fun trail riding up and down steep hills, crossing creeks, and viewing wildlife. There are several trails here, so we can take it easy on a nice scenic wind through the woods for a beginner, or create a challenge for a more advanced rider. You will most likely see deer, turkey and just about any critter you can think of on these trails. You can even spot a bald eagle at Truman Lake.
The campground is right on the lake, so you can bring your fishing pole if you want, but don't forget your fishing license. There is a playground for the kids, a washer and dryer, and shower house with flush toilets. Berry Bend is a very family-friendly and fun place to camp and ride!
