Before you Ride
Please print and sign the Liability Release Waiver and bring it with you for your ride.
If you are planning a ride to Big River Ranch, please also bring a signed copy of the Big River Ranch Waiver.
We can’t wait to meet you and see you on the trail! If you’ve made up your mind to book a ride or campout with us, please contact Jeff for available dates and to make a reservation.
Cancellation Policy
If there is an unexpected family emergency, illness or other conflict, we will be happy to reschedule your ride or campout for a later date within at least 72 hours notice prior to the scheduled ride or campout date, but no refunds will be given. If you make a cancellation less than 72 hours prior to the scheduled event, you will be charged a cancellation fee of $25 per person. Please let us know as soon as possible if you need to reschedule. It takes valuable time and supplies to prepare for each adventure, so we appreciate as much notice as possible in the event of a cancellation.
Inclement Weather
Show-Me Trail Ride Outfitter reserves the right to reschedule rides and campouts when weather conditions or forecasts are not suitable. The safety of our guests, our employees, and our horses are our top priority. We also consider it our responsibility to respect the trails we use in our state’s parks. It may be necessary for us to reschedule or change destinations in the event of muddy trail conditions or storm-related damage on trails.
Physical Requirements
Minimum age for riders is 9 years old; all riders under the age of 18 MUST wear a helmet.
All riders, regardless of age, must have sufficient upper body strength to mount a full sized horse without assistance. There are no exceptions to this rule. We also need to know in advance if you think you may require special assistance. If you think you can’t get on a horse, I must know ahead of time, and for what reason.
The maximum weight of a rider we can accommodate is 250 pounds, with an acceptable height to weight ratio. If you misrepresent yourself, you will not be allowed to ride and you will forfeit all deposits and payments. The safety of our guests and our horses are our top priority; we must protect our horses from misuse.

Acceptable height to weight ratio does not extend into the red.
Smoking is prohibited while on all trail rides.
